The presentations at this site cover a long time period. Each one represents part of an on-going Pilgrimage, and the writer's ideas, practices, and experience have changed over time. This change is the quality of any living Journey. Please read with this in mind, allowing the inner Teacher to speak to you as you need at this particular time in your own living Journey. Thanks!

I will praise the LORD at all times,
his praise shall ever be in my mouth.

*Psalm 34.1 (NRSV)

Praise is expression
of love and adoration

Praise can be with words
or in wordless Silence from the Heart

Praise can be offered with the body
as with uplifted hands
or in joyful dance

Praise can be specific, as to Whom or What
or unspecified, as to the nameless Mystery

Praise is humbling
for true praise is unselfish
centering us in the Center of All

Praise, then, may not be needed by That we praise
but we need to praise, for we need the transformation
praising works within us

Praise, likewise, reminds us
how loved we feel when someone kindly praises us
how loved others feel when we kindly praise them
